As I prepare for the last day of a trip of a lifetime with great friends, I reminisce a little about what we've done, what we've seen and what we experienced. I look up at the beautiful big Botswana sky. I admire the stars and feel the chill of the morning air on my face.
My thoughts quickly turn to this quote:
"It had long since come to my attention that people of
accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to
them. They went out and happened to things."
-- Elinor Smith
And I start thinking about what's next. What's the next trip of a lifetime I want to undertake? What's the next goal I want to accomplish? What's the next dream I want to realise?
Dreams need action plans, goals need execution plans. Soon we'll start discussing our next adventure. An action plan will follow and we'll get excited all over again.
We'll apply the lessons we learnt and plan an even better trip. We'll take forward what we did well.
I'm excited to get back to work too. Re-energized after time to think on the open road. Plans to put in place and re-focused personal goals to achieve.
Allow your dreams to soar high. Hang on to their tails and make your dreams goals.
Go out there and happen to things.
